Multi-light kit connecting kits allow you to connect up to 4 light kits and power them using a USB Power Cable to a USB Power Bank or USB Power Adaptor that can connect to mains power.
Simply swap out the battery packs with connecting cables. Then connect the connecting cables to an expansion board. Next, connect the expansion board to a USB Power Cable and select your power source (Power Bank or Power Adaptor).
Important Note:
Our LEDs can be powered using mains power via our USB power cables connected to the correct power adaptor.
Our components all run on a very low voltage of 5V, so it is essential to use appropriate power adaptors. As a guide, look for a power adaptor with a rating output of no more than 4 Amps. Do NOT power using adaptors that have an output of any more than 4amps. Be very careful of using aftermarket universal adaptors as quite often these "cheaper" adaptors do not output stable current. Electronic spikes can dramatically shorten the life of our LEDs and can also result in them burning out or becoming very dim. Using such adaptors will void the warranty of your lights.

Can I use 1.0 and 2.0 components together?
You can. Our Converter Dock makes it simple to connect 1.0 and 2.0 together. With dual ports that bridge both systems, you can easily add 2.0 components into your existing lighting setup.
Will 1.0 components still be supported?
We’ll continue to support all valid warranty claims for 1.0 components, so there’s no need to worry. However, new releases and improvements will be developed exclusively for 2.0.
How do I transition from 1.0 to 2.0?
Transitioning from 1.0 to 2.0 is simple. Nearly all of your favourite components are available in the 2.0 range, designed to give you the same functionality with an even better experience. Our Starter Pack is the easiest way to get hands-on with 2.0, and if you’d like extra guidance, our Customer Service team is ready to help every step of the way.
Here’s how 1.0 components have evolved in 2.0:
Bit Lights → Astro Lights
Strip Lights → Meteor Lights
Lamp Posts → Astro Lamps
LED Light String → Astro Light String
LED Light Bar → Flare Light
Light Ring → Solar Light
Connecting Cable → Belt
Power Cable → Flux Belt
Expansion Board → Dock
Wireless Power Connector → Flux Touch Plate
What’s different about 2.0 compared to 1.0?
Light My Bricks™ 2.0 is our next-generation lighting system, created through a pilot program with the LEGO® Lead User Lab and shaped by feedback from builders like you. It has been engineered from the ground up to deliver the most seamless and reliable lighting experience for LEGO® sets, with significant improvements across every component:
Thinner, stronger wires – 80% slimmer, no solder points, easier to hide
Reversible plugs – Larger, easy to grip, connect either way
