The LEGO Bookshop is the 2020 release from the Modular Building lineup. With a return to its original European architecture roots, the Bookshop adds a little sophisticated retail flair to the fan favourite lineup.
The Light My Bricks Bookshop light kit comes with 26 individual lights and comes with a host of features. Included are wireless connectors between each storey, allowing full access and playability of your modular.
The light kit has also been designed so that the two side halves of the building can be separated from one another (meaning you can have another modular building between the two)!
Finally, to create a sense of realism and ambience, flickering effects have been added to the fireplace and garden lights have been added for a nice external feature.
IMPORTANT NOTE
This lighting kit is powered by a USB Power Bank or USB Power Adaptor (to connect to a mains outlet), which is NOTincluded in this kit. If you do not have a USB Power Bank, you can purchase them from our Powering section.

Orders are dispatched next business day or same day if placed before 12PM (GMT-5). Our orders are delivered using USPS shipping and typically delivered between 3-4 business days subject to delivery conditions.
Light My Bricks offers free shipping on US orders over $150 USD ($250 USD for Canadian customers). Orders containing USB Power Banks are subject to additional shipping fees. This kit was my second kit I've build with lightmybricks. It's really easy if you follow the instructions and gives a great result when lit. Total building time took me around 3hours.
Another great kit from Light My Bricks with some excellent elements.
Would've been a five star but...
1. Instructions leave the Bookshop welcome light down in front of the door - so had to go back through and undo a lot of tricky wiring to then flip it back up as per the LEGO instructions
2. First floor lights are a little too bring to get the full effect of the excellent flickering fireplace
The wire and connectors were very well built. Everything works well. The instructions were spot on.
It turned out exactly as I expected.

This set didn’t have any negatives for me. The inclusion of the wireless connectors (which I had previously bought separately & used with other kits) was nice and went a long way to keeping this set tidier in terms of wiring. I love the flickering circuit board effect & think I’ll add that in the future to several sets I already have.

Adding lights to the buildings is very important for me, as part of the living room decoration.
This light pack also includes the possibility to still detach the floors, I love that!
Giving very long cables that need to be stored somewhere the contacts do not work perfectly here - but stimmt manageable.
So 'only' 4* here because there is some room for optimisation in the cable management.
Still worth the money!
