Great Results, BUT…
I have to say the finished product is spectacular. I’m very pleased with how it all turned out.
But…the assembly process is tedious at best and painful at worst. Im dreading repeating the process on a much larger scale with the Hogwarts Castle.
As an ex engineer I can offer you a number of ways to improve. If I had the finances and patience, I would start my own company to produce MY version, but since I don’t I’ll give you the ideas for free.
In no particular order…
-Provide alternate instructions for placing the lights during assembly rather than having to disassemble things.
-Fabricate custom Lego pieces that include the LEDs rather than scrunching them into recesses
-Fabricate custom Lego pieces to serve as conduits where wires can be attached to either side rather than forced under.
-Use flat flexible conductor rather than the delicate hair thin wires
-Use larger plugs and sockets and color code them as to polarity.
-Incorporate the multi connector boards into appropriate Lego pieces rather than the stick on.
-need a sturdier USB power cable. Alternatively, fabricate a brick to sit on the outside of the structure with a USB PORT so the user can plug in their own cable.
I’ll gladly accept 10% of subsequent profits!
